Technology Planning Support Series: Partnership with Sun Associates

As New York State and local districts embark on the critical journey of technology planning for 2026–2029, the LHRIC’s District Technology Planning Series offers a dynamic pathway to shape the future of instructional technology. With artificial intelligence rapidly transforming education and the NYS Portrait of a Graduate setting new expectations for student success, districts face an unprecedented moment of change.  

In partnership with LHRIC and Sun Associates, districts are invited to participate in a flexible program designed to foster collaboration, vision, and actionable strategies. Whether you choose a single session or the full series, your team will gain access to expert guidance and practical tools—ensuring every district can confidently chart a clear, innovative course for technology integration that meets both state requirements and local aspirations.  

You decide what your team needs: participate in the entire series of four sessions,  or register á la carte. 

COST TO PARTICIPATE (per district; you may bring as many colleagues as needed)

Full Series (Session 1 – Session 4): $ 2,500 

Individual Options (Session 2, Session 3) $ 1,250 each

Session Leaders

 

Jeff Sun, CEO, Sun Associates
Jeff Sun has over 30 years of experience working in the area of formative/summative, mixed-methods, educational program evaluation, particularly within the context of education, technology and STEM learning. Jeff has extensive experience working with state and local education agencies and has worked in staff and consulting capacities to a number of U.S. Department of Education-funded programs. Jeff’s professional interest is facilitating collaborative evaluation processes with a strong emphasis on the use of qualitative data. Jeff is the Director of Sun Associates, which provides program evaluation services for a number of federal and state-funded educational projects such as NSF ATE and ITEST projects, state and non-profit STEM grants, NASA’s Affiliated Museums and Informal Learning Institutions program, US DoED (GEAR UP, NPD and TAH), IMLS Museums for America and Community Catalyst grants, and many others. Jeff has extensive experience working as a service provider to schools and districts through Learning Innovations at WestEd, the ED’s IES-supported Regional Laboratory Program and ED’s former Regional Technology in Education Centers (RTEC) program. Prior to founding Sun Associates, Jeff was the Director of Educational Technology for the Northeast and Islands Regional Educational Laboratory.
