  • Master Schedule Builder Workshop

Participants in this comprehensive two-day workshop will learn to build a Master Schedule that will accommodate the needs of students, teachers and staff. This workshop is comprehensive, well-organized and informative. Attendees, even experienced schedulers, consistently comment on the quality of the content and the value of attending this workshop.

The Master Schedule Builder Workshop begins with an overview of the Master Schedule construction basics including planning, curriculum, course selection and decision making. The afternoon session on the first day will lead you through the actual step-by-step construction of a school Master Schedule. Various scheduling alternatives such as interdisciplinary teaming and block scheduling will be included. During day two you will learn to analyze a scheduling run and manually manipulate the placement of sections to reduce conflict and improve class balance. The workshop will conclude with a "hands-on" scheduling exercise. This scheduling workshop is not associated with any computer program. The skills and techniques presented can be applied to any scheduling program.
