LHRIC REGENTS TESTING SERVICES
In-District Scanning     *     In-District Scoring     *     Post Process

The LHRIC offers Regents Testing Services for January, June and August administrations of the following Regents exams (Whenever administered in a non-restricted form):

  • Integrated Algebra
  • Geometry
  • Algebra2/Trigonometry
  • Global History and Geography
  • US History and Government
  • Comprehensive English
  • Living Environment
  • Physical Setting Earth Science
  • Physical Setting Chemistry
  • Physical Setting Physics
  • LOTE (Last administered on June 2011)

The State Education Department requires the use of uniform answer sheets for all Regents exams. All answer sheets must be scanned through a RIC or Big 5 City School District for all students taking Regents. This allows for the collection and reporting of student data and response data for each test question.

Service Options
To Comply with SED requirements for Regents scanning, districts have three service options:

  • Post Process- LHRIC will scan, process and submit item data to SED.
    • This Process will begin after districts administer, score and process their Regents exam grades for report cards and State Reporting.
    • Districts will deliver the answer sheets to the LHRIC for scanning and electronic processing.

  • Regents In-District Scanning- Eliminates manual scoring of the multiple choice questions and conversion chart look-ups.
    • After scoring the extended response questions, districts will scan the answer sheets to the LHRIC
    • The LHRIC will process and score the exams
    • Within 24 hours of scanning a complete exam, the district will receive a report in Level 1 with the final scores.
    • Please contact us for more information.

  • Regents In-District Scoring- Eliminates manual scoring of the multiple choice questions, conversion chart look-ups and shortens the turn around time for scores.
    • After scoring the extended response questions, districts will scan and electronically process (verify) the answer sheets
    • after 'verification' is complete, the district will receive immediate score results after processing each exam.
    • In addition to score reports, districts will also have immediate access to additional preliminary analysis reports.

Districts participating in the Regents Scoring Services will receive the following:

  • Printed Exam Answer Sheets for each student scheduled to take the exam(s) containing basic demographic information
  • Extra sheets for walk-in students
  • Data Analysis Reports in L1 DW
  • Comply with SED requirements for scanning Regents
  • The LHRIC will load to the L1 Data Warehouse:
    • Assessment Response Data
    • Testing Modifications
  • If your district participates in either In-District Scanning OR In-District Scoring Services, an AssessmentFact file for each Regents exam will be available for reviewing and loading to the L0-L1 DW by your District's CIO

The LHRIC WILL NOT load Regents scores obtained though ANY scanning process to the data warehouse for State Reporting.

The district is responsible for loading Assessment Scores (AssessmentFacts) to the Data Warehouse

District Responsibilities

  • Districts are responsible for loading the following tables in Level 0 and Level 1 DW for printing answer sheets:
