TECHNOLOGY LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE (TLI) Program Highlights 2012-2013 The Technology Leadership Institute (TLI) provides school district leaders with opportunities to engage with nationally known educational technology experts in local venues. It is a great place to learn, to share best practices, and to communicate the value of technology to improve and, in some cases, transform education. This year the TLI is offering another outstanding program! In addition to the great speakers that have been the hallmark of the Institute, we have continued to maintain key relationships with several outstanding, regional educational technology events: - TLI members can attend the NYSCATE sponsored Mobile Learning Summit, at the Edith Macy Conference Center, in Briarcliff Manor, NY (9/28).
- Registration for Tech&Learning magazine's Tech Forum, at the Westchester Marriott, in Tarrytown, NY is again included in the TLI membership (10/19).
- Registration for NYSCATE's 47thAnnual Conference, at the Rochester Convention Center, in Rochester, NY is also included for TLI members (11/18-20).
- This year's TLI Kickoff, at the Edith Macy Conference Center, in Briarcliff Manor, NY promises to be one of the best ever, with nationally renowned keynote speakers (12/4).
- TLI members are also entitled to attend the 8th Annual Celebration of Teaching & Learning, at the Hilton New York, in New York City (3/15-16).
We were recently notified that this event has been cancelled! - TLI will again sponsor TECH EXPO, at the Edith Macy Conference Center, in Briarcliff Manor, NY. This exciting event showcases the best uses of educational technology in our region (4/5).
- The LHRIC's 20thAnnual Pioneer Awards Celebration will again recognize the most outstanding teacher, director of technology, and school district in the region regarding the innovative uses of educational technology (5/16).
The TLI is more than a place to come to hear speakers. It is a place to network and share with your peers. It should be an instrumental part of your strategy to build support for technology in your local district. Catch the enthusiasm, challenge the speaker, and leave with a new feel for the value of educational technology.
